Silicon carbide mechanical seal rings and seal faces operate at the sealing interface of pumps and rotating equipment. The component geometry, mating pair and surface condition must be considered together with the fluid and duty cycle.

A quotation should therefore start from the seal assembly, drawing or reference component, shaft information and operating conditions. Final grade, dimensions, tolerances and inspection requirements are confirmed for the reviewed application.
