Product Description
Review representative product forms and application context below. Final geometry and acceptance criteria are confirmed from the drawing and operating conditions.
Silicon Nitride Degassing Rotors are core purification components used in aluminum melting and casting processes. By rotating at high speed, they break inert gas (nitrogen or argon) into fine, uniform bubbles, efficiently removing hydrogen and non-metallic inclusions from molten aluminum, thereby improving melt purity, casting density and mechanical properties.
Made from Gas Pressure Sintered (GPS) silicon nitride, these rotors offer excellent corrosion resistance, non-wetting behavior toward molten aluminum, high wear resistance and outstanding thermal shock resistance. They typically last 3–10 times longer than traditional graphite rotors, significantly reducing replacement frequency, downtime and total cost of ownership.
Manufacturing process (source record): High-purity α-Si₃N₄ powder + sintering aids → dry pressing / CIP → green machining → gas pressure sintering under nitrogen → precision finishing → final inspection.
Quality control (source record): Dimensional inspection, surface quality check, dynamic balance verification (if required), density/porosity testing and batch traceability.
Data status: the source record is not supplier-verified. Numerical values are typical engineering references, not guaranteed product specifications; final values require grade, drawing and test-basis confirmation.
Product Features
