Product Description

FreeWill Material technical ceramic product families and engineering applications

Review representative product forms and application context below. Final geometry and acceptance criteria are confirmed from the drawing and operating conditions.

Silicon Carbide Wear Linings (also known as SiC liners or sand mill liners) are high-performance ceramic lining components designed for extreme wear, abrasion and corrosive environments.

Typically consisting of a high-purity silicon carbide lining combined with an external metal shell (such as aluminum alloy), these linings provide exceptional hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance. They significantly extend equipment service life and improve grinding efficiency in sand mills and other abrasive processing systems.

Manufacturing process (source record): High-purity SiC powder → Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) or other forming → Reactive / Atmospheric pressure sintering → Precision machining → Assembly with metal shell (if required) → final inspection.

Quality control (source record): Dimensional inspection, surface smoothness check (≤ Ra 0.4–0.8 μm), appearance inspection (smooth without pores) and batch traceability.

Data status: the source record is not supplier-verified. Numerical values are typical engineering references, not guaranteed product specifications; final values require grade, drawing and test-basis confirmation.

Product Features

  • Extremely high hardness (Mohs >9) and superior wear resistance
  • Excellent corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and most chemicals
  • High temperature resistance (up to 1650 °C)
  • Low coefficient of thermal expansion for dimensional stability
  • Improved grinding efficiency and reduced energy consumption
  • Good impact resistance and long service life

Typical Applications

  • Sand mill liners for grinding, polishing and dispersion
  • Wear linings in chemical, pigment, coating and ink production
  • Lithium battery powder processing equipment
  • Pharmaceutical and food industry fine grinding systems
  • Environmental protection and flue gas treatment equipment
  • Other high-abrasion and corrosive process equipment
